Award-winning video production for the travel media industry.
Award-winning production company Simon Parker Creative produces destination, tourism and current affairs content for the world’s travel media.
Cinematic, story-driven films for the world’s leading tourist destinations, luxury hotels, and travel brands.
Simon Parker Creative produces cinematic brand films for the world’s leading hotels, destinations and safari brands. Every production is led by me — a travel journalist with 20 years of national newspaper bylines and credits across the BBC, Times, Red Bull, National Geographic and Telegraph. That editorial background isn’t a detail. It’s the methodology.
I work with a team of highly talented cinematographers, camera operators and editors all over the world, to deliver visually exciting and informative video content, from concept to delivery. Since graduating with a First Class degree in English & Screenwriting I’ve filmed in some of the most extreme corners of our planet, from the centre of the swirling Pacific Ocean, to the searing Atacama Desert, via Arctic tundra and the summit of the Andes mountains.
With a focus on adventure travel, wildlife, sustainability, and conservation, I’ve produced award-winning short and long form video and radio content for outlets such as: The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, Sky Sports, BBC World Service, Radio 4, Amazon Prime Video, FOX Australia, SBS and The Evening Standard.

What I learned from cycling across 11 states in America.
In this film for The Times newspaper I look back on a 4,000 mile bike ride across the USA, in the lead-up to the 2024 Presidential Election. The journey saw me traverse 11 states, from Washington to Florida, while asking: What next for America? I met hundreds of fascinating citizens, from librarians fighting book bans, to Trump-supporting Nebraskan farmers and homeless people fighting addiction.
From Marrakech to Mount Toubkal: A Moroccan Adventure Weekend.
For The Sunday Times I hiked to the summit of the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal, to document the Berber culture of the High Atlas Mountains and how sustainable tourism is positively impacting communities. This film was highly commended in the 2023 Future of Media Awards.
Exploring Shetland's Wilderness on A New Hiking Route.
I spent a week walking the length of Shetland (100 miles) for The Sunday Times, to explore how a long-distance hiking trail might boost the economy of this archipelago at the northern edge of Britain. I interviewed authors and conservationists to discuss how sustainable tourism can help humans and animals alike.
A Cycling Track Bringing Adventure to Sweden’s Lakes.
In this film for The Sunday Times I tackled a new cycle route around Sweden’s largest lake: the 400-mile Vanerleden. It’s hoped that this route will bring green and sustainable tourism to the region, which is just an hour north of Gothenburg. I rode this route in the middle of summer, when the sun barely sets, and I was lucky to stay in the 72-hour Glass Cabins – one of Sweden’s most exciting new “hotels”.
Cycling Through Northern Ireland with Simon Parker.
This film for The Sunday Times is all about cycling around Northern Ireland, while meeting farmers and food producers along the way. I was lucky to visit an apple orchard and discuss the Armagh Bramley apple – one of Europe’s finest. Then, take to the waters of Stangford Lough, where some of Britain’s freshest seafood can be found.
Saving pangolins in Mozambique.
In this short film for The Telegraph, we explore how pangolins – the world’s most-trafficked mammal – is being saved from extinction in Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique. This is privileged, behind-the-scenes access, to an animal that is rarely seen. Gorongosa was decimated by a civil war, but is now regarded as one of the planet’s greatest wildlife success stories.
